What you’ll do:

As a Fiduciary Accounting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the transformation of complex fiduciary accounting principles into actionable product features. Drawing on your deep expertise in trusts, estates, and regulatory compliance, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—from Product Owners and developers to end users—to craft detailed requirements, validate solutions through rigorous testing, and ensure intuitive, compliant workflows that meet both market needs and state-specific legal standards.

What you can expect:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in fiduciary accounting, trusts, and estates, providing guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to translate complex fiduciary accounting principles into requirements.
  • Write detailed requirements for new features and improvements.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to validate functionality against business needs and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with users to gather feedback and ensure product usability.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing by defining test cases and validating that solutions meet business expectations.
  • Support the Product Team in prioritizing and refining the product backlog, ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure intuitive workflows and accurate financial reporting functionalities.
  • Research and analyze state-specific trust and estate laws to ensure compliance within the product.
  • Prepare documentation, process workflows, and training materials for internal teams and end users.

Desired skill set:

  • Fiduciary accounting expertise with extensive experience in trust and estate administration.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance related to trusts and estates.
  • Familiarity with estate and trust administration software or accounting systems used in estate planning.
  • Experience in at least one of the following states: California, Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts, New York.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Ability to adapt to a tech-driven and fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA or CTFA certification will be considered a plus.
  • Additional certification in Fiduciary Accounting or Trust & Estate Administration is highly desirable.
  • Training or experience in business analysis, software development, or Agile methodologies is a plus but not mandatory.
